Westmead Hospital patient shares heartwarming experience and encourages others to join AR tour

Clifford Joachim, a recent patient at Westmead Hospital, had nothing but praise for the care he received during his recent visit to the emergency department, which encouraged him to attend the hospital’s ground-breaking ‘Past meets future’ Augmented Reality (AR) tour.

He was particularly impressed by the staff’s dedication and professionalism during his stay as a patient, as well as the cleanliness of the facilities.

Clifford’s positive experience was further enhanced when he participated in the AR tour, held in honour of Westmead Hospital’s 45th anniversary.

This unique experience allowed him to journey through time and learn about the hospital’s rich history, while also gaining a glimpse into its future.

“The tour was excellent,” Clifford said.

To look at the possibilities, the background, and how it’s grown from the ’70s to today using the latest technology, and the kindness and friendliness of every all the staff around, is amazing.

“They obviously love their jobs.

“It’s a nice experience just to interact and see how dedicated the staff are. It’s amazing.”

Clifford was also impressed by the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality care to all patients.

It was first-class interaction and treatment.

It’s not too late to participate in these tours, with places still available on Friday 24 November.

The tour is free to the public, with information about registration and booking available here.
