The 2023 Western Sydney Health Forum took place on Tuesday, 21 November, providing the local western Sydney community with an opportunity to engage with Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) clinical experts and leadership.

The event, hosted by Adam Leto, CEO of Western Sydney Leadership Dialogue, provided unique insights into the intersection of western Sydney health, community, and progress.

Seated on the panel were four multidisciplinary clinical leaders from across the district, including Dr. Quan Yuan, Staff Specialist Paediatrician; Dr. Jina Rhou, Diabetes & Endocrinology Staff Specialist; Chelsea Hall, Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist; and Aaron de los Santos, Acting Clinical Nurse Consultant.

This diverse panel addressed a range of topics, from the role of healthcare in sustainability efforts, to futureproofing innovation projects across the district and investment in staff talent.

WSLHD encouraged the community to submit their questions ahead of the event, emphasising the district’s commitment to sustainability, research, and innovation.

The audience, who was able to view the proceedings through a livestream and send in questions in real-time through a Slido, encouraged panelists to engage meaningful dialogue in this engaging Annual Public Meeting.
